Paint Over Rust
POR on nice shiny smooth metal wont adhere to it very long before it peels. If you had a frame that was rusty and didnt want to blast it and go via Pauls method then you could clean it and POR it and be good to go.
Painting OVER POR has produced mixed results. Some but not all paints will work and stick to POR. Its a crap shoot and most good paint companys wont give you a yes it will work. With the prices and work involved with a good paint job the rust in question should be fixed properly.
