The theory is that your clutch is stuck in the engaged position, so once you get moving, in low gear, disengage the clutch, (push down the pedal), and rev the engine. This will put added torque on the stuck parts, and free them, hopefully.

The other way to do this, with the truck going forward in low gear, is to slam on the brakes, with the clutch pedal down, in the hopes that the drivetrain will stop, and the engine will keep going, thus separating the clutch parts that are fetched up.
