Very true, but not all diesel motors have to be justified by pulling heavy loads. Many people prefer the diesel because of the inherent nature of the diesel motor. They generally last longer, get better fuel economy, and when you do need to pull, they pull better. If I had to pick just one pick-up to own the rest of my life, it would hands down be a diesel. The smooth power and gobs of torque available from small diesels is a wonderful thing. Ask Paul (in NY), I'm sure he loves it in his rigs.
