I want to say 1976. I was at a TransAMA race in Missouri that Decoster rode in and I believe won a Moto. Though it was odd to see him on a 250cc bike. He could ride fast and make it look like he was out for a Sunday cruise. Now, you go to just about any track anywhere and the two strokes are the odd man out.

I remember at Carlsbad there was an old '30s or '40s truck on one of the hillsides that we walked past coming in from the parking lot. I don't know what kind it was, but it was all surface rust and it was sunk to the running boards in the dirt. The top and hood were all caved in from people jumping on it over the years.

I am trying to talk Martie into the idea that I need a Motocross bike again to stop the middle age spread! ;^)

PW content: I have enough trouble fitting in a Power-Wagon cab with my long legs without a gut hitting the steering wheel too!
