will equate owning old iron with global warming! im adhering to the theory that by continuing to use my truck that im helping reduce landfill growth and i am preventing the chinese from turning my truck into 10,000 blenders or ak47s. im sure we are in a warming mode as evidenced by the extreme weather cycles we are having. what to do about it is the hard part when china and india and other countries are growing out of control with little desire or politcal pressure to make their growth green. im afraid that even if we can get our house in order in the US, our neighbors will continue burning dinosaurs until the last drop is wrung from the ground. they will choke us out as they fill our shelves at walmart with .99 flip-flops and other crap we dont need. if they dont kill us with global warming, they will get us with an army that they are building with walmart bucks. (ive got nothing against walmart) its crazy to think that the diesel engine designed to run on vegetable oil was diverted from the orig purpose to burn processed polluting oil. if we had only stuck to vegetable oil we could be oil independant and farmers would be able to eek out a living here at home. maybe we could start using ethanol derived from maui sugarcane? id be glad to visit dave and supervise.
