Here is the number for the WC 3/4 VR
AL-VRH-4101D-1. The electrical system is a negative ground system for both 6V and 12V per TM 19-1808A manual. The only thing I noted is that the VR number ending with an "A" also uses a generator with a number ending with an "A" - "GDJ-4808-A" Could A or B VR be tied to an A or B generator? Either case, the polorizing of the VR may be the same.
