I have done stuff like that for friends but I would highly suggest unless you are willing to get the insurance to not do this! On a professional level most folk don't want just some guy transporting their valuables and on a personal level If something does go wrong your screwed. Just like everyone has been saying-this country is way to sue happy and your better off not going into it without the proper insurance.
When I say I do move cars for friends these are the people who if the called me in the middle of the night on a Wednesday and told me they stuck in some small out of the way place 1000 miles away and need some one to come and get them cause they are stuck I would go. For the record there are a grand total of two of those that I would do that for, and niether of those are family members. That's how careful I am about who I would and would not haul cars for. Take that for what it's worth.
