Starter pedal woes...

I'm swapping a cab from a late model (with solenoid) onto an earlier (53) FFPW. I'll have to drill holes, but he early pedal doesn't seem to line up- the base plate has a joggle in it but the cowl is flat in the area where it goes. Are there different pedals for difffernet years? Or some bracket that goes between the base and the cowl?
