How much oil are you really leaking in a week or for a certain amount of mileage?
As you asked, what does pulling the tranny/xfer have to do with fixing the front seal? The only reason I see that needing to be done is if the crank has to be pulled...
And for you to loose your truck for 3 days at bare minimum is not gonna be easy either...
Not an easy decision... Call a big truck place and see what they say...
