My 01 3500 with a Cummins has developed an oil leak at the front timing cover and the dealers service dept first said it was a 10 hour job costing $990. Last Friday he calls and says he looked at the wrong page and that now its a 27 hour job at $2200! I expressed my EXTREME dislike at this news and asked if DC could help out. Seems even though I have 93K on it my warrenty time is up by 4 months. He gave me the Customer service number for Dodge which I have to call tomorrow. Has anyone had any luck with getting a warrenty extended so DC will help out? The service rep says they have to pull the tranny and TC to do this job with a special set of tools to do the front cover. I asked what pulling the tranny had to do with the front cover but all he said was it was in the BOOK. I take in Tuesday and won't see if for at least 3 days. With this being my work truck it bites on top of the cost for this job. What would any of you do in this situation?
