What I see is the top of the box is closer to the frame and not centered in the steering column hole in the fire wall. this is exactly what I have with the Carryall and the Chev Van box, i have 6 or 7 boxes (non reverse rotation ) and they all fit pretty much the same way as shown in your picture . I know that the box is not mounted to the adapter.
If one was to look from the front is the centerline of the box vertical or does it cant to the left?
Anyway .that one shot was of great help. What is funnier is I looked before you posted and missed the photo.
As an aside , Is that a shot of the top of your head- in the grey primer phot ? I got the exact same hair cut. Fragglin identical .
