Thanks for the reply, according to my maintenance manual it is referred to as a pilot pin. On the Rzeppa universal unit, if you unscrew the retainer from the unit, it allows you to pull out the long universal drive shaft. from that point you can reach down the center of the Rzeppa unit and pull out the pilot pin. From what I can tell, the point of the pin fits inside the tip of the universal shaft to possible help center the shaft. I hope I am describing it properly. its that pin that is broken off at the tip. when I dissasembled it the little tip was just floating inside the unit. I wanted to find that pin instead of replacing the whole unit for approx $150.
