Let's review the facts:
1) There is an weird old rusty pickup truck offered to you.
2) It is a 4x4, and it might even sort of run.
3) The price is within the bounds of reason.
4) You have the money.
5) You have a place to put it.
6) You wife, while making the obligatory inquiry as to your sanity, has indicated that your marriage will most likely survive the purchase.
I can't see where there is anything to decide here, except which of your buddies to get you to help tow it out... just my $.02, you understand.
