1 ton dual wheels

Hello, I have a 1948 B-series PU 1 ton. Now I have the second set of Budd wheels. I want to install the duallys, but the wheel studs are too short. Do I need extra long studs to bolt the second wheel on? Or am I missing something else, wheel adapter? Any help is much appreciated.
