I recently purchased 4 combat rims and noticed that all of the rims except 1 have a welded weight on the inside of the rim. I assume this is to add weight for the valve stem cutout. All of the outer rim halves have square cutouts on both sides.
I have seen pictures of combat rims that only have 1 cutout on the outer rim half. Is my rim without the weight supposed to have an outer rim with only 1 cutout? Instead of adding weight to the rim, did they account for the imbalance with the outer rim half? I think I will have to weld a weight to the rim, or it might be way out of balance??
