If you are not conserned with 100% athenticity when you install the new glass use silicon seal instead of the rubber channel.Use clear or black and run a bead in the frame .Imbed the glass and screw frame back together. wipe all excess off while uncured.I did this years ago on advice of glass man.Water dosn't collect in the lower frame and cause rust or frozen water bulges.
