That compare to what? In its GVW class it can't be beat. A Powerwagon is a thing of beauty, but each model of PW was produced to do a specific task and do it well. Can a W300 wind through the woods easier than a W500? Of course--it has a shorter wheelbase. Can I haul more in my W300 than a W500? No, of course not. Each model must be looked upon as a wonderfully engineered machine, perfectly designed for the tasks it was built for. A Powerwagon was the first truck I remember seeing as a kid--years later, it was the first thing I ever drove on a beach in North Carolina. The sound and the smell of the thing was remarkable and to this day, when I see one crawling through the woods, or running down some old fire road, it all comes rushing back. A thing of beauty is just that--it's something that leaves a lasting impression on the mind and soul. I don't care what model, old or new, it's all good. And when I see one, I freeze in my tracks and if I close my eyes, I can still hear and smell that old piece of iron that I first saw and drove---and on it's hood are the words "Power Wagon".
