I usually have had to drill them out.
1. Use a 1/16th drill for a pilot hole (no deeper than 5/16);
2. Then use a 5/32 drill to drill new holes;
3. Use a 10-32 tape for new threads, chaffer with a 5/16 drill (side bars only if required);
4. Use 10-32x1/4 flat head Phillip screws for sides top and round head Phillips for the regulator;
5. Use a anti-seize lubricant on reassembly.
