I've seen two different ways to convert the standard round turn signals to arrow types.
Method one is to merely make an arrow from tape (electrical works best) and spray paint a few layers of black or body color onto the rest of the lens.
Method two is to cut out a sheet metal disk with an arrow cut out of it and put it inside the turn signal up against the lens.
