Don't go to the rally in Iowa looking for parts unless you intend to buy at VPW. I went last year and on Wed. there were NO PARTS DEALERS except for a guy selling models and a manual guy. I asked about it and was told that after the first couple of years that the swap meet part sort of went away and wasn't encouraged by VPW who sponsors the event. Another tip is to not go until about Friday, as most of the trucks don't get there the first day or so. I drove 300 miles, saw about 15 -20 trucks, visited VPW facility, and turned around and drove 300 miles backhome. BTW -no motels available nearby unless you make early reservations. There is nice camping space at the fairgrounds (no hook ups).
I think the dates are always the second week end in June (last year it was the 9th-12th) but am not certain on it.
