Thanks for the help to those who responded to my questions yesterday. the radiator removal went pretty well. I could'nt get a tool to hold on to the nuts under the radiator that hold the core support to the frame as they were rounded from rust. I ended up burning them off. I was'nt sure if I would have enough clearance by the fan blades when I would lift the unit upand out so I took the time to remove the 4 fan bolts. Will the complete unit slip back in if the fan is in place? It looks to me that you need to be an arthrosopic surgeon to get to the 3 nuts that hold the DODGE nameplate above the radiator when the radiator is installed. While my radiator is out I might want to replace the nameplate. Can anyone recommend a source for an NOS piece? Instead of nuts I"m gonna try to find some barrel clips to use so that it will just pop right off when it"s time to give the truck some paint. Today I ordered some hood lace from Roberts motor parts but they did"nt have the rivits/nails that hold the lace in place. Anyone know of a substitute or another source? Any help would be appreciated Thanks.
