Wiper motors and transfer case

I am trying to get my vacum wipers to work. What type of grease or oil should I use in them? The transfer case on my 46 WDX keeps slipping into nutral. The four wheel drive lever is still up against the transfer case lever but it pops out of gerar. Any ideas or cures? Thanks Tom
