Thanks Lyle. This mindless pavlovian response to changes, some of which needs to be done (like front disk brakes) and some of which increases the usefulness of the vehicle to some (like re-powers) seems to be a reflection of the absence of any sort of creative or original impulse in the minds of the perpetrators. In the end, anybody with an IQ of room temperature (centigrade?) or higher just has to laugh at it.
