Pickle x 20 is susposed to be sprayed on, I use a ole spray nine bottle. After it sits about 3 minute, wipe it off/dry. You will get some streaks and gray residue, this is normal. The instructions say dont try to remove the gray residue, shoot your primer over it. You can not use a etching primer. MP-170 Epoxy Primer is not etching.
You may even see some brown areas that form, the instructions say this is normal
