Not sure of the weight, but I think it is around 5000 lbs. If so, it is actually heavier than the 3/4 ton van I used before to pull it. However, the van has a longer wheelbase which I think is very helpful for stability.
The Durango has bigger brakes also and combined with the Prodigy controller for the trailer brakes, it stopped very well.
