I find that the equation for pin removal is: the length of the pin (in inchs) times it's circumference, equals the weight of the hammer (in lbs). Or use metric dimensions, and convert using the constant .067. Unless your hammer is calibrated in kilograms already.;>)

I did notice that there are notchs cut in the hinge body - for oil? But that they are in the front side, that will catch rain water when moving down the road. Can we flip the bodies over on re-assembly, or swap side to side, to put the oil notchs to the rear? They would be inside the hinge then, ad ptotected from water. You could oil them by opening the door...
