as exsplained to me .... the fifth gear is smaller and not ment to carry loads what happens is the nut that holdsthe gear on either broke or worked its way off on mine i had them locktite the nut on then hit it with an impact [ i was told this remidy by a owner of a wrecking comp that ONLY drives dodge 5-6 speeds ] has worked for him for years and i'm on year 2
