Mike,
Dealing with any Gov't department is usually aggravating at best.
Several reasons to ask others.
1- I would like to be as prepared as possible before going to the DMV.
2- You get several different answers to the same question from DMV personel
3- Many DMV personel are impatient and easily annoyed when taking up too much of their time.
4- Since I was in the area, I did go there and was told to have the present owner get a title for it and then sell it to me.
I am thinking, why should he do that?? It has never been registered and he has no title. What would be the difference if it was titled in my name skipping the first step of his titling it in his name before selling it to me?
I am sure he would like to avoid dealing with the DMV.
5- Many customers know the procedure as well if not better than the DMV employees.
