I'm not a painter and I don't know what brand or paint system you are using but I would suggest asking the question on the Autobodystore website. If you used masking tape that's a no-no. I only use the green tape and sometimes pull it across my pants so it doesn't stick as much. Also, normally you don't shoot clear over enamel and mixing acrylric with a urethane will cause lifting. If you are using a basecoat/clearcoat system for the flames(instead of enamel) you may be outside of the window for spraying on clear. The guys on Autobodystore can help you based upon the paint brand/system you used.
