Hello. The other day a friend of mine stopped in who was hard up for some cash, he had a running driving W-250 to sell so he could pay some bills. Well, I actually had a bit of cash, so I bought his truck to help him out. I really dont need or want it, but I figgured I could help him out and maybe make a buck or trade for something I may need...so here is the scoop. Its an '83 W-250 with a 360, 727 and a NP208 transfer case, Dana 44 front, Dana 60 rear. I drove the truck about 16 miles home last night, The engine runs well, but does need a good tune up and some carb work..the carb looks to be a Thermo-Quad. The trans seems pretty strong, transfer case is decent, 4X4 works well. The truck has the 'Ram Trac' vacuum lock front axle engage and that seems to function well. The brakes are good on it, the steering does have some wander to it. Tires are not very good. I am not sure of axle gears, but judging how it runs, I could almost bet its 4.10 gears. Bodywise, the box is fairly solid and straight, not perfect, but good for a work truck and still sturdy, no tailgate, The cab is shot and needs to be replaced, has sliding back glass, windshield has a couple small stone chips. Doors, expecially drivers door is shot Needs front fenders. No bumpers (has custom made ones, and I am keeping those for my other truck) Truck can be drove as-is, or I have a good clean 91 Cab and front fenders and more useable doors that could go with it. For just the truck, I will take $450.oo no battery. or if you want the good cab and front fenders $600 if you wrench off (one front fender is off already) or $675.00 if I wrench it all off and include it in the deal. Truck is in Silverwood Michigan, 48760 about an hour and a half north of Detroit. Please email me or call me 989-635-7024 Thanks and God Bless!
