It was out of a gamma goat to include tranny possible inflation was not correct maybe to much tread wear but I have never seen a new one on a truck so it is hard to say how it would work in better circumstances. Hope all is well in the northwest regards Mac. I was a tire man in the Border Patrol my first year and it was interesting to see all the variations in tires used in El Paso Sector at the various stations due to differances in terain hard to believe but the General ameristeels seemed to perform the best for most applications overall they were also tyhe cheapest. That was truly a proving ground 90 miles of hard surface rd in blistering heat, 30 miles of dirtroad and three miles up the repeater roads sometimes hooked to the back of my D-6. I wish I could find pictures that was an adventure every day a guy had to be pretty resourceful as radios didnt work well. The best truck for extreme conditions was the dodge I didn't even own one back then but was suitably impressed by their 4wd capability this was in the late 80's. Necver went out with less than three spares a air tank and a patch kit. sometimes thta was not enough. It is amazing the variations in driving conditions in the desert in 30 miles. Regards. Mac ( crusty old firearms instructor)
