How goes it? Long time no hear. As for your questions, if you were to put your disk brake axle (I assume its a Dana 44 as well) you would have to cut-and-weld up spring perches, as the frame widths are probably way different, and shock mount issues. Also bear in mind if it is a Dana 44, you will not have a provision for lockout hubs, so your front axle hubs will always be engaged. You could probably get away with pulling the hubs, rotors and spindles and perhaps outer axle shafts and the same era Chevy Dana 44 front axle parts should bolt on or bolt on with little modifications. Its quite abit of work regardless, but can be done and parts are availible and reasonably cheap. Give me an email and I can probably direct you to some parts fairly local and cheap. Take care
