Will the current ones handle a cummins or are you saying the old one can do it?
I do not know how easy it would be to find an old one. I currently have a Ford set up on the Cummins. The bell housing and T19 trans are Ford. A GM Ranger would be a lot easier I am sure.
I need to get a Intl. Scout and pull the transfer case and manual trans out of it. I will take the output shaft from the Scout trans and put it in the Ford T19. Then the trans/transfer adaptor on the Scout will work on the Ford T19. I will be using the Dana 20 transfer. I also will take the axles out of the Scout to replace the ones on the Willys.
