I am running 8.25-20's on those same wheels. They are 37" in diameter so they are shorter and narrower than a Q38-75R-16, or a 1100-16XL that everyone runs with no problems. According to my scale, they are 12lbs lighter than a combat wheel with a 1100-16 XL, The rim sits off the brake drum more, I would imagine that helps with heat dissapation, although I havent and (dont plan to) put a thermometer down there to verify. Another plus is that NEW 8.25-20 traction tires are available for the same price as the surplus USED 1100-16XL's that wear out in 15k mi.
