Tortured cab corners

Do people attack thier old dodges with ball peen hammers? I have never seen so many little pock mark dents as the ones that are on the back of my cab near the roof. This compound curve is difficult enough to deal with but with these dents I may go crazy? Did buy one of those contour sanding blocks from Eastwood and it helped. How have any of you dealt with this mess?
