A furlong. That would be equal in length to 10 chains, or 40 rods, or 110 fathoms, or 440 cubits. But let's use rods to help us calculate since one rod is the same length as one perch. We know that with 5.83:1 gearing, fresh 9.00 x 16 NDT tires, and a governor set at 192,000 RPH (hours - mean solar), a Power-Wagon can go approximately 50 MPH. (That is Statute miles as opposed to British Nautical or International Nautical - because Statute converts more easily to links [Ramdens Links - not Gunters]). So, with that in mind, a Power-Wagon, under the conditions listed above, can travel 16,000 RPH (rods per hour). This quickly translates to 400 furlongs per hour.

Now, wasn't that easy? ;^)

Stones? Are you trying to confuse me Eric?

For those keeping track, Eric's cubit is probably a little longer than mine as he is a little taller than me at about one fathom and one hand, or maybe even closer to one fathom and one pica. Whereas, I am right at one fathom and three thumbs tall. :^(
