Hello. For one thing Dodge has always had a lower market share in trucks than Ford and GM, Even IH at one time had a larger share of the light truck market. Dodge trucks were always known for their dependability and their tuffness and would give their owners many many years of good faithfull service. Seeing that, most owners kept them and ran the tar out of them and there was not much left of them after the fact. Also Dodge had a large issue with rust back in the old days so alot of them died of cancer rot long before they quit running. I tried going into the towing business back in 99-2000 and the truck I bought was a '68 Dodge D-300 with a Ashton wrecker setup on it. It was very ruff, I got it because it was complete and cheap! hahaha. I also had a 1970 W-200 with wrecker setup I sold on ebay back in the fall, which I traded my 47 WDX which was at one time a wrecker, so I have had 3 Dodge tow trucks, they are out there, just gotta look around and dig some...but half the fun is in the hunt, right? God Bless!
