Green Mountain Power Wagon Rally

Cavendish, Vermont

August 18-20, 2006

Yes, we are going to have a second Power Wagon Rally in Cavendish, Vermont! As we get closer I’ll add additional information to this site that everyone needs to know. In the meantime however, here are some links to pictures from the rallies we’ve held in the past: RallyPics

This year we are going to have the rally in August. We realize everyone is very busy with their own activities, but hopefully August 18-20 is a quiet time with vacations already celebrated and before school starts. Plus the weather will be warmer. No rain either (optimism!).

Here is a photo of the rally location, plenty of room as you can see: Rally Location

Also, we are going to have a raffle and are seeking donations of pw related items to offer as prizes. The proceeds from the raffle are going to support dodgepowerwagon.com. If you would like to donate a prize and are not attending the rally, please mail it to:

Ken See

817 South Reading Road

Proctorsville, VT 05153

My home address is:

10 Silkey Heights

North Granby, CT 06060

Or you can simply bring it along with you.

Here is a map of the surrounding area with the routes to the rally highlighted in red: Local Map of Cavendish. And here are some written directions to help out with the map: Directions. Here’s a general idea of where Cavendish VT is: Vermont

For those of you who looking into a place to stay, here is a list of Accommodations

Camping is available in the surrounding pastures, the real kind, not KOA, no RV hookups, but room to park.

We’ll be serving food Friday night, Saturday morning early breakfast, midmorning bagels etc., lunch, dinner, and Sunday morning pancakes. We haven’t figured out the costs for meals yet, but you will be able to participate on a per meal basis, or you can obtain an event long meal pass.

Also, we’ll have a large metal container that holds large volumes of a traditionally brewed hops and barley type beverage if you would like to try some of that.

Saturday afternoon, we’ll load up and go for a ride. The route will consist of rural gravel roads that are maintained, and some unimproved town and state forest roads that are not maintained but are well traveled. But that means there are plenty of rock ledges, washouts, stream crossings, loose boulders, and at least one serious mud hole (with a bypass). Last year plenty of new stock trucks made the trip, so if your vintage Dodge is not running that day, bring your wife’s truck.

If you’re not bringing a truck, no problem, you can jump in any other truck, or just stay at the rally and relax.

Feel free to bring any parts or whole trucks you may want to sell, swap, or give away.

We’ll have a tshirt available with the rally logo, pocket size on the left front. Also there will be original Dodge art on the back.

If anyone has any questions, comments, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me at kensee1@cox.net or 860 653 0614. Cell is 860 965 8675, but I have no signal at home in CT, all other times are fine though.

The rallies that we’ve had in the past were great times, the location was perfect, and the people were even better. This year should be more of the same, so if you enjoy vintage trucks and vintage people, please make an effort to join us.

Thanks,

Ken
