you can drive them out with a drift or a bearing race installer / remover. i saw bob stahl weld the surface of the races in a circle pattern, skipping as he went along. the weld shrinks when cold and makes the bearing loose in the bore. slick as whale poopie. ive always brass drifted them out with good results. maybe a press is not the way to go.
