The Dana 70 axle was never built to my knowledge with the Power Wagon, 5 - lug pattern (it is the same for all WDX/WM300, WC and M37 type vehicles). The M715 5/4 ton truck used a 6 lug pattern that is similar, but as noted has 16 spline shafts and closed knuckle front end.

Use the stock power wagon axles! I would highly recommend upgrading and using the stock axles. Getting away from the stock 5-lug wheel pattern changes the look of the truck dramatically and thus will majorly affect your resale value. You can change gears, add lockers and disc brakes to that original axle and you will have a very usable unit. If you are still worried about axle shafts give me a call as I have a possible solution.

If you are really hot for the Dana axles, it is possible to use a hub adapter to couple the 5/6/8-lug hub to a 5-lug wheel.

BTW, the hummer beadlocks are 16.5s so using the XZL tires would be out.

Have a great day,
Dan
