Yea; We had a real screw up in Washington. The Demos got control of both houses and the gov is also a demo. First thing they did was pass a lot of taxes. Interesting since they have to go to the voters if the increase is greater than a certain percentage. There has been an inititive surge over the last 10 years to control spending and taxes. But they (the demos) got it all and the people will not have a vote on it. They simply declared on the crisis clause which allowed them to raise taxes without going to the people. Of course there is no money shortage. The economy is good and the tax revenues are up. Now they are even higher. Of course they raise the state budget significantly so they wanted money for their new stuff. We got a 9 cent a gallon gas tax increse which were are now paying 4 cents of ant the rest will come soon.
They are looking at removing the entrance fees to the state parks. Nobody is going. Taxed them out of the parks.
Some of the taxes were needed to repair some major roads. I voted against it simply because they did not put a plan out there. The people need to know what roads and when and how much money for each project. None of that of course. They just got a big lump sum with no accountability on where and when it will be spent.
