The heck with the stitch Nazis. I marked my wc-12,(I dont know if one made it to the Phillipines are not.) for a New Mexico NG unit the 200 th Coastal Artillery Regiment that fell in the Phillipines. The markings were based on a rear end shot of a WC-21 the tailgate #s were 180 off mine. I found the picture in a British book on the fall of the Phillipines laying a field piece. The embracement of perfect history by the perfection group is dumb because it does not exist except in their mind.. I have a 42 or 43 WC-51 that has its origional markings on it and they dont follow what I have heard about. I will paint my Uncles name on it his life was changed by the events he was a part of in Europe during WWII. I have combat rims on it. The Battling B of Battaan reenacting group were very excited to have something representing their portrayal of History. That they didnt notice the many imperfections and knew the unit without asking and marched beside it in the veterans day parade was a good thing the war was fough in a lot of places. With a lot of equipment. I have a picture of two VC dodge closed cab trucks working on a Oil line in the Panama Canal in 1942 and a 1/2tCC in the South Pacific on a raft in 43 in a combat area. I will get off my soap box and finish by saying whatever you do will be the right thing.
