The French spoken in France uses more and more some English words as they consider it to be fashionable (like the British used French as the romantic spoken language of their kingdom's court). I really don't know which would be closer to "real" French between the one spoken in Quebec, Acadie (ancestors of the Cajuns) or France. The language spoken in Acadie resembles more of French spoken in the 17th century.

When you say that mixtures of two languages is called "Pattois", you must mean "patois" and I agree that you could consider Franglais (or Chiac as we call it in New Brunswick) a form of patois, or like I did, a dialect as it now has some literary tradition. The line is fine.
