Try a DeWalt 18v cordless cut-off tool. This is a great tool to have around the shop, should have gotten me one sooner. You can use cut-off discs, also grinding and sanding discs or wheels.

Most rental shops have them for around $20/day. To buy one will cost you $200-$250.00.
