I still stand by the original statement, however let me say that a radial tire will not ALWAYS fail on a split ring or combat rim. But that they CAN fail because the softer sidewall rolls over the edge, especialy if your not really on top of checking your tire pressure. Please don't take this the wrong way, I am by NO means saying you CAN'T use a radial tire on these type of rims. But there is a reason I won't sell Radial tires for use on these rims.
