...Is here now in many different forms. ALL CA fuel is B5% because of air quality issues, it replaced the banned MTB's. Ethanol works great up to B15. At ratios above B15 it delivers less power and economy than gasoline but runs cleaner. Ethanol's future is not as a substitute but as an additive with gasoline and a %suppliment with diesel.
It will stretch our fuel supplies 5-15% and diesel already provides a 25% savings over gasoline because of the nearly 30% better fuel economy. The price of diesel is creeping up because folks have discovered it's advantages and demand is increasing.
