Brazil uses Sugar Beets to make ethanol, which provide a MUCH high percentage of energy then corn does.

Corn is not a very good choice for Ethanol production, there are other plants getting more attention now.

The problem I keep hearing is that Brazil makes so much Ethanol that they will have lowered production costs to the point that it will be cheaper to import their Ethanol rather then make our own.

Look into Brazil's use of Ethanol, and the number of E-85 cars they have, they are far ahead of many countries.

I hope we can find a way to make a high yield Ethanol product in this country at a competitive price, that and improving new vehicle MPG are two big things that might help lower fuel costs.
