I would try to get a goodfaith waranty on the part that failed so close to the warranty. Alot of dealers will do that if they recognize the fact that you will never come back if they don`t. Waranty pays squat to the dealerships but the extended warranties have alot of proffit so they like to sell them.It is the finance weasels who sell them. they play around with the cost of the warranty to close a deal.
