I finally get a little time to play with my toy. I found the frame number (83907664). It matches the VIN tag (83907664). But, doggone. I'm a little confused now. The VIN tag logo is a double triangle (Star of David?). It is my understanding that the double triangle tag is for models of earlier manufacture (pre-'48). Did some Dodge dealers do as some Jeep dealers did? Or do you think this tag has been replaced? Looks to have been in place for a very long time. It is attached with small phillips screws.
