Cummins 4bt engines-auction

For some time I have been looking for a 4bt to put in my PW. A friend told me about an auction site that had some for sale.

Last week I bid on a bread truck, won it, and picked it up yesterday in Casper, Wy. It has a rebuilt 4bt with about 10,000 miles on it and a 4sp. The neat thing is it has the hydro boost brake system (master cylinder mounts parallel to firewall) and power steering. Really a pretty nice van. When mine sold last week they had about 340 vans across the US up for auction. Quite a few had the 4bt engine and many did not sell even for the opening price of $1,200- $1,600

If you want one of these engines I suggest you take a look at www.dovebid.com The next sale is Ap 20 and there will be another in late May.

Suggest you look at the truck in person. Although I did not, I got real straight information from the fleet manager-my guess is you can too.
